[Corporate News] Work Conference on Post-Subsidy Support for Capacity Building of R&D Institutions at Key Provincial Enterprises

On April 8, the work conference on post‑subsidy support for the capacity building of key enterprise R&D institutions in Jiangsu Province was held in Nanjing. In 2015, 66 Vision Tech Co., Ltd. was included in the third batch of the “Key Enterprise R&D Institutions of Jiangsu Province” list.

The meeting primarily provided an interpretation of the policy on post‑subsidy support for building the capabilities of R&D institutions. At present, the province is home to 999 key enterprise R&D institutions at both the provincial and national levels. In response, the Provincial Enterprise R&D Institution Promotion Association has allocated a special fund of RMB 23.9 million to these 999 institutions, providing financial support for capacity‑building in three key areas: implementing standardized R&D management systems, adopting intellectual property management standards, and conducting training in innovation methodologies. The policy clearly underscores the government’s strong commitment to enhancing corporate R&D capabilities: innovation‑methodology training helps enterprises cultivate innovative talent and highly skilled managers; patent‑driven protection and IP‑standardization systematize intellectual‑property management, guiding companies to carry out related work more effectively and thereby maximizing safeguards against infringement of their core technologies; and the implementation of standardized R&D management systems—introduced in 2015 as a new local standard by the Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision—represents both a synthesis and an elevation of these efforts. R&D has long been a top priority for technology‑driven enterprises, and for provincially designated key R&D institutions, rigorous standardization of R&D management is essential to maximize value creation, ensuring that technological innovation serves as the primary engine driving sales growth and output expansion.

At the meeting, several professors also highlighted, from different perspectives, the critical importance of talent, intellectual property, and technological innovation to corporate development. It is precisely for this reason that the provincial department has allocated tens of millions in funding to support enterprises in advancing these three areas. Currently, our company has successfully passed the acceptance review by the provincial expert panel for the intellectual‑property management system standardization and is now preparing to apply for third‑party certification. Meanwhile, guided by relevant policies, the company’s management is beginning to explore the establishment of an R&D management system, which will be integrated into our existing intellectual‑property management framework. These two initiatives are mutually reinforcing and closely interconnected, and we believe they will help elevate our company’s scientific and technological research and development efforts to a new level.
At this conference, numerous companies participated, including several medical device firms from within the province. In the current climate of a sluggish global economy and intensifying domestic market competition, only by steadfastly upholding our commitment to development, prioritizing technological innovation, and investing in talent cultivation can we consolidate our company’s leading position in China’s ophthalmic‑device market and achieve rapid economic growth. We hope that more LULU employees will join this effort and contribute their part to the company’s continued advancement.
